A glimpse of spring

This week has been a mix of weather on the Lark from storm-force winds to the promise of spring yet to come as rays of sunshine stream through the portholes on the boat.

We have also noticed an increase in feathery visitors an assortment of beautiful birds their calls echoing in the still winter air. Mr. Wobble has visited every evening this week announcing his visit loudly before his arrival alongside the boat. He never fails to bring a smile and makes life seem magical somehow he seems so excited to see us.

Mr. and Mrs. Quack, Woodville, Wiggin have been early morning visitors soon joined by the remaining Quack family equally loud and mischievous. Mr. Squeak and Marshall Walnut live under the overhanging branches opposite the boat and never really seem to leave entertained by the acrobatic squirrels swinging amongst the branches like furry daredevils above the river.

As spring approaches I will share the pictures of the new arrivals who will no doubt become as well-loved as Mr. Wobble and his friends.
