A day in the life of the " Lark"

Despite being slightly milder today, living on the river is much colder than on land in the winter. The boat is a little chilly but worth every moment to have the opportunity to see the wildlife each day. It is wonderful to see the remaining "Lark residents still arriving. Some have flown away for winter and should return early spring, some have remained it is always a joy.

Mr. Wobble is still to return to the "Lark" but Mr. Wibble has been arriving in the evenings hungrily for supper.

Marshall Walnut and Mr. and Mrs. Squeak spend most of the day alongside the boat. Today Marshall Walnut has been building a precarious nest on the river on a tide that is running a little too fast for it to last long. This is not unusual for Marshall his nests often wash away but, he never gives up. The Quacks have so far remained on the river and are also daily visitors but the coldest months are still to come. I will be updating the blog regularly and hope to post some pictures of the much-loved characters.
